Lazy Sunday

It's Sunday and raining outside so I am being very lazy! It is 2 O'clock and I am still in my pj's sitting on the couch listening to Adam's game online. This is what Sundays are for right? It has been a long week...getting up at least twice a night to take the dogs outside (Dog sitting my parents dogs who pretty much never sleep is tough) means I did not sleep a whole lot and with appointments and work means no naps to help my tiredness. But thank you to the best husband in the whole world who let me complain and feel bad for myself as much as I needed! The good news is that in just 4 days I will see him and nothing else will matter!
It is off to Winston-Salem on Wednesday and I could not be more excited! While I wish Adam could have moved up a level, I do love a lot about Winston-Salem and am eager to get back there for a few days. Sometimes it is just confortable to go back to a place you know. So here 10 reasons I can't wait til Wednesday!

1. 11pm Taco Bell drive thru on the way home from the games.......for some reason Taco Bell tastes better at 11pm! Gotta love the baseball schedule!

2. Sleeping in late!

3. Hero House....mmm I love that place!

4. Watching my husband play!

5. Seeing friends we haven't seen in almost a year!

6. Texas Roadhouse after Wednesday day games! I sense a pattern with my reasons...food! (Maybe I am hungry)

7. Winston Salem parks...there are some really great ones to go sit in the grass and enjoy the sun, and Jersey Mike's for lunch!

8. Waking up next to my husband for a whole week!

9. Going to the movies with my husband! Really just trying to pretend we are normal married couple for a few days!

10. Last but not least, the most important reason why I can't wait to get to Winston.....

I get to wrap my arms around him, spend time together and have a smile on my face for a whole week! <3

Love you Adam!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to everyone!

I am sitting here at 9 o'clock and finally feel recovered from the food coma that put me to sleep for like 3 hours this afternoon :) (Love that kind of sleep!) I am trying to get a handle on this week and this week is going to be crazy as usual! My family will be in Vegas all week so I get to watch the doggies for them. Fun! I also have to get ready for my drive next week to Winston-Salem where Adam is playing this season. So getting organized and packing up the car, paying bills and also making sure I am home for all the appointments this week (Lawn mowing, Sprinkler start up, painters, tilers etc.) is what's on the schedule. Before the week starts, here is what has been going on around here this holiday weekend!

I love Easter so much! Everything about Easter makes me smile....the springtime sunshine, flowers, chocolate and jellybeans and most of all family! On Friday to kick off our Easter weekend, we had a bbq with the new smoker bbq that my parents got last week! And I must say, my dad makes the best bbq ever! We had a few people over to the barn, grilled out, and enjoyed the best spring midwestern weather. I also got to see my parent's new house being built on the farm! It looks great!

A few pictures of our Good Friday BBQ

For Easter, my immediate family, Mom, Dad, Denise (and Brittany-who is like family) went to Westmoor for the best brunch in the whole world! (The food was pretty awsome too) It was so great just to all be together because it really is a rare thing around here! We are going in so many different directions and places all the time it is crazy! We were only missing one person, the most important person of course, my husband, Adam :( I don't think there has been an Easter we have spent together. But someday we will and I look forward to that. For now he has a job to do and we miss him!

Imagination Station: Universally Accessible Playground

About a month ago I heard about this new playground being built in Roosevelt Park in Oconomowoc. I didn't get a chance to check out the website and what it is about until yesterday and it looks amazing! This playground, while still in the fundraising stage, is going to be a fantastic addition to our community and I can't wait to help out as much as I can during the build June 2-7!

What is so great about a new playground?...Well, it is being built to be Universally Accessible for all children! This means that all children, regardless of anything that may limit their play on traditional playgrounds, will be able to access and play happily on this playground. The design includes rubberized surfaces, plastic composite ramps, therapeutic swings and a swing deck, multi-sensory activity structures and more!

To learn more and help our community build this wonderful playground visit:

I can't wait til June 2nd when building begins! And I can't wait to help out and find the picket for the fence that Adam and I donated! (With our names on it!)
